Darren Zuro, MD
Dr. Zuro is a medical physicist and researcher with expertise in hematopoietic malignancies, which are cancers that affect the blood and bone marrow. He obtained his PhD from the University of Minnesota, where he also worked as a research assistant at City of Hope and devised novel treatment techniques for these diseases. He then completed his residency at the University of Oklahoma in 2023, where he pioneered the use of intensity-modulated proton therapy (IMPT) for total body irradiation. His current research interests include hematopoietic malignancies, TBI/TMI, as well as the combination of radiotherapy and immunotherapy for various cancers.
