Jeffrey V. Kuo, MDProfessor

Dr. Jeffrey Kuo is a Professor and Chief of the Palliative Care Service in the Department of Radiation Oncology at UCI. Dr. Kuo earned his Medical Degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College before completing his residency training at UCI. He also has a Master’s Degree in English literature from the California State University, Long Beach.

Dr. Kuo specializes in the management of cancers of the liver, pancreas, and gastrointestinal tract. He also has expertise in radiosurgery for tumor of the central nervous system. As an expert in the use radioembolization and intraoperative radiotherapy, Dr. Kuo leads active clinical services in both. Dr. Kuo’s research interests focus on palliative care and quality of life for patients with metastatic disease. He is a member of the Radiation Safety Committee at UCI and also serves as the Residency Program Director for the Department of Radiation Oncology.
